I was wandering if anyone could please help me.
I have been in Canada since 2010. My visa expired in 2012 and I got a new IEC. Now its 2014 and its about to expire in may. I have applied for a THIRD IEC working holiday visa. I am 27. If there a limit to how many times they will give me the visa?
I have applied through Stage 1 about 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything back. My visa expires soon and im scared I wont get the new one in time.. Am I still allowed to work? Please someone help me!
I have emailed them through Kompass few days ago and I have not got back anything
 :'(

1. Australians can get IECs until they age out at 30
2. You can't work when your IEC expires, you either apply for an extension as a visitor and wait for your new IEC or you leave. Don't forget when you go to the border to activate your new IEC, to have the insurance and proof of funds.

Going to hijack this thread a bit, as there are so many god damn threads. I have just submitted my application for the IEC Open work permit (just working hospitality, so hopefully no medical etc) Anyone have any idea what the processing times are actually like? The website says 3 months...Wasn't sure if that is basically their maximum or whether or not thats pretty spot on.
Cheers

Not sure on the processing times, good and bad to hear that Jixman's is taking a while too.
Very similar situation, been in canada since 2009 on the IEC program; as far as all the documentation goes I am still eligible for another (28yo Aussie). The only limit i've read about is the one when filling out the information in stage 1, (max 3). Other than that its not written anywhere.
I applied on 3 Mar, submitted payment etc. and still waiting on Stage 1 approval. I haven't heard of any other processing times on stage 1 recently; fingers crossed they're just busy and taking a while.
Work is not allowed, best option is to leave and re-enter on a visitor visa and wait until you have another work visa before commencing work again.

Does anyone have any new information relating to this?
Can you apply for a consecutive third working holiday visa if you are Australian?
The Feequently Asked Questions section on the IEC website says there is no limit, as long as you meet the age requirements. However, it also says there is no quota, which is untrue. I don't know whether to believe it or not.

Yeah i am 99% positive there is no limit for us Aussies, as long as your under the age limit you can apply as many times as you like. I think it is other Countries that may have limits.
