IEC work visa expired - bc pnp in progress

Hi,

My iec work visa expired, and I currently have an application for bc pnp in progress (express entry - skilled worker). Currently in Canada, trying to restore my status.

The easiest way would be pnp approval > PR application then bridging visa, but I’m wondering if my pnp application will be affected by my work visa expiring?

I don’t have all the details of your situation but it sounds like your IEC has expired and you haven’t yet received a PNP certificate or applied for BOWP. If this is the case you could be working out of status if you’re still employed, so first step would be to stop working and apply to change to visitor to keep a valid status.
For BOWP my understanding is you must already be on a permit in order to bridge to another, so if your IEC WP has expired you may not be eligible. May be able to apply for restored status but typically you only receive BOWP once your PR app has been acknowledged and it sounds like you’re quite a ways off that yet.

Some PNP do provide a WP as part of the nomination so that could be another path.

I'm not familiar with BC PNP but after a quick Google search it appears one of the requirements is to have a job offer - you can have a job offer without working for the employer so you should be OK in that regard. The difficulty will be having the prospective employer wait for you and have the job offer open.

The employer waiting isn't an issue in this case luckily.

If anyone has any further insight, that would be really appreciated. I'd like to know for sure
