Still waiting on LOI here too.

I`m an Irish citizen, I have applied for Permanent Residency and instead of applying for the BOWP, I applied for this as I was elligible.

I recieved an email from CIC on Feb 8th to acknowledge my application, but have heard nothing since. Still waiting.....

I submitted Feb 11th and already received my LOI, so you should get your LOI in the next couple of days.

Hey!

I am still waiting for LOI..... German citizen residing in the U.S.

IEC Conditional Acceptance Letter received: Feb 20th
CIC Application Submitted: Feb 21st
CIC Submission Confirmation: Feb 21st
CIC LOI: ???

I got an email from New York today stating that my application is in the queue for processing....about 3 weeks after I emailed them requesting a status update.
Anybody got any info?

Minimum processing time at NY office is 30 days. So expect something in your mailbox by end of March.
Keep us in the loop. Always interesting to see how long other applications take...

Cheers

You would imagine, wouldnt you? Were you in Canada at the time of submitting application?

I was and still am in Canada. But that doesn't matter since IEC applications are processed as applications from outside Canada.

I was in the U.S. at the time I applied for IEC. I'll definitely keep you posted.

So they mail the letter rather than upload a PDF to the site? Where do they mail it? Mailing address or Permanent address?
My current lease is up soon so my address will be changed if it does not arrive in time. What do I do?

I was mostly curious as anyone who applied outside of Canada, had their application processed much quicker. It doesnt really make sense as you would think that they would put the priority on people who are living and working in the country. I hope to get it by next week, fingers crossed I guess.

You'll receive the LOI in your MyCIC account. You'll get notified by email once it's there. It's a PDF you have to print out.

The IEC website says applications will be processed in order they receive them. Can't quite belive that tho, cuz a friend of mine ( we applied and submitted the same day ) got her LOI about 2 weeks before I did.
So I have no idea in which order they process the applications, but they're working on it for sure.

Love this IEC nonsense! Nothing quite like sitting around without work!

I submitted mine feb 26.
I completed and sent the mycic march 19th.

Will keep you updated! :)

one question, to some of you that have done this before. how did you go through with the health insurance process? i haven't looked into it yet, but i was looking for some pointers.

Ugh. I'm still waiting on a response. I sent Stage Two on Feb 15 and haven't heard anything since then. My visitor visa expires on March 31 and i'm desperate for any news.

Does anyone have a number to call to check application progress?

As far as I know the IEC applications are processes in New York at the Consulate General of Canada.
Their phone number is (212) 596-1628.

If you do call them let me know if they give you any useful information.

As far as I know the consulate of NY doesn't accept any calls and it's only an automated voice system.
It takes about 1 month to get the LOI from the date you submitted you CIC application.
Hang in there, once the 1 month mark is exceeded call CIC hotline and ask for details.
