IEC for New Zealand

Keep checking the site, they will give 72 hours notice of the opening.,

Early to mid April..

I to am waiting from NZ and phoned the consulate today.

They just posted on the website that it'll be open on the 2nd of April! I've been waiting for it too!!! They'll tell us what time it'll open the day before ;D

I'm struggling to find information on how the long the visa is valid for after being offered for NZ Citizens. Anybody able to shed some light onto this?

Also, on the website it says you can only participate in IEC once, does that mean you can only be issued the visa once or you could be issued the visa multiple times until you end up using it? For example, I could apply for IEC and be issued a visa but not end up travelling to Canada, so can I apply for it again?

Appreciate anybody providing a bit more info on this.

You can only be issued the visa once.

The website doesnt tell you how long the visa is valid for i.e. the duration is 23 months but that is from the time you enter Canada, but how long do I have before I can use the visa after I am issued with it? In other words, do I have travel with in a month, 3 months, 6 months or a year after the visa is issued?

POE introduction letter for IEC is normally valid for 12 months from date of issue. If you were required/chose to do a medical (required for some jobs), it's valid for 12 months from the date of your medical exam.
