Hello there, as i am aware there is no implied status to work on the IEC visa so i have a quick question.

I should receive my BC PNP AOR on Monday, and my IEC visa expires on the 26th April.

Could i apply for a BWOP now and hope by the time it is processed i will have positive eligibility on the EE by then? Would doing this give me implied status as a visitor after 26th april?

Pretty confused and trying to ignore the lawyer here who is sure i would be fine to work after the 26th!

I don't really want to fly home and then all the way back!

Thanks folks!

Not sure how BOWP works under EE. Some say an CEC-AOR isn't enough.

If you don't want to fly home and then come back, you can apply to change your status to visitor. This way you can stay until your visitor status expires, and hopefully that's enough to have your PR sorted out. Obviously, you can't work if you do this.

With an ITA your PR will be processed within 6 month from AOR

So that raises my question again, if i get an ITA before April 26th, and i apply for a BWOP would i be allowed to stay here as a visitor waiting for the BWOP decision?

By IEC you mean international experience canada -working holiday visas? Cause I had this visa, it expired nov 24 2014 and I applied for a new work permit, so I was on implied status and was able to work, but my LMO was denied I my new work permit application was rejected. In rejection letter CIC wrote that my temporary resident status expired on February 23 2015 the day they rejected it. So I was on implied status for almost 3 months. Not sure if your situation are similar.

Jrookly: yes you would be allowed to stay. IF you have an Application in process. In your case that would be the application for a bowp
