IEC Application Police Certificate and 2 Passports

I was hoping someone could help me out with a IEC visa application question.

I'm a resident of Northern Ireland so I can hold a British and Irish passport at the same time. I just finished 2 years in Canada through the IEC visa program on my British passport.

I'm going to apply again with my Irish passport and I'm at the point where I need a police certificate. I have a police certificate from 2 months ago where I used British passport and Canadian address. Can I use this police certificate or do I have to apply for another police certificate using my Irish passport and Northern Ireland address?

To answer your question, the police certificate requirement depends on where you have lived and not what citizenship(s) you hold. If you have not lived in Ireland for more than six months since you were 18 you do not have to provide an Irish police certificate unless the case officer asks you to.

The police certificate from 2 months ago is still good, no need to reapply.

As a side note, it is quite possible that your IEC visa will be refused this time around because you have already participated in the working holiday program as a British citizen. I would inquire about eligibility in this case before I apply if I were you.

As a side note, it is quite possible that your IEC visa will be refused this time around because you have already participated in the working holiday program as a British citizen. I would inquire about eligibility in this case before I apply if I were you.

If it is a UK police certificate then it would show your passport number and details so although being a dual citizen not an issue maybe you need the consistency to show the Irish passport details, address is not an issue.

I need someone to help me here on what to do or expect. I was refused visit visa to UK 9 yrs ago, in 2009. But the passport I had then had 1980 for by birth year.which was not my correct age. I later obtained a new passport bearing my correct birth year and the old one was withdrawn by the issuing authority. I have obtained and traveled to USA with the new passport. Now that I av sent my application for PR, and have declared the refusal and DOB & passport change. How can this affect my visa decision. Will the visa officer raise any flag on the change of passport DOB
