So, I went to IDP in my City today and they said that I can't go to Canada because of gap even though I have joined many social media groups where there are quite a lot of people who are right now studying in Canada even with a gap of 6-7 years and that's 6-7 years with no employment!

My gap is 8 years. Should I apply for Canada or not?
Are they right?

To my knowledge if you can prove to them you were gainfully employed within these 8 it doesn't really matter how many years/gaps

You need to share your profile for feedback, education, english language proficiency, work experience and how any course relates to all that given relevance is key. A gap in education is not usually an issue as long as you have a solid background and plan.
