OOPNP application requirement for photo looks stringent. Will it be ok if we submit PASSPORT photo ?

Any advise?

Thanks in advance.

Can you share the requirements? how much do they differ from the passport photo requirements? Are they the same as the EE PR photo requirements?

They are exactly the same as CIC requirement - I would've been surprised if it were otherwise.

And it isn't complicated at all. Just go to the nearest studio and they'll know what to do.

From OOPNP guide...

Dimensions: final frame size of the photo must be at least 35mm by 45mm (1 3/8” x 1 3/4”), showing full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the photograph and including the top of the shoulders.

 Head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm (1 1/4” or 1 7/16”).
 The background of the photo must be white.
 Your name and date of birth must be written on the back of each photo.
 The photos must be placed in a small envelope and attached to the first page
of the application to enclose with your application package submission.

If I were in Canada, it would be fine. But I am outside of the country and although I can take the requirements and ask the photo studio to fit it. But, it would be easier if it is similar to generic PASSPORT photo.

Thanks.

Hey,
If you do not trust the studios, you can try to do it yourselves.
You can try epassportphoto.com to print photos as per the specifications of CIC/OOPNP. You just need a digital photo, which is well lit and clear. You do not need to order the photos, just use the 'self serve' method.
Or you can go the longer route and use this way: Paste the digital picture in MS Powerpoint, and crop it to the required dimensions (you can easily do this by using ruler tool). Then you can copy paste that photo several times such that the photos fill out a standard size printable photo (e.g 4" x 6"). Group all images ,save as jpeg and print.
Hope this helps!

Do we need to include photo's for dependent? or is it only principal applicant? in the guide it does not ask for dependent's photo

Cic needs information to be written on back of photos, how is it possible when we are submitting online application?
I mean do we have to scan the backside of photo as well?

Those are old regulations/regulations applicable for PR card. Just focus on the specifications and get the photos accordingly.
