Thanks. My friend has been waiting just 2 weeks although unfortunately their US EAD expires in another 3 weeks.

Just FYI... I got a message from IRCC stating they need a new employment offer/contract to be sent with corrected wage as the median wage per region was changed on Nov-17th 2021. So it looks like this process is going to affect many in terms of timelines.
