I have applied for ICT from USA on 11th Dec 2015 and still waiting. If anyone has got their ICT approved from USA, can you please share your application date?

Hello,

I have my firm's attorneys work on my file all along. My file is ICT TRV. I believe it's C20 category, or something of that sort?

This is my timeline so far:

Nov 20, 2015: Application submitted online to NY VAC
January 20, 2015: Biometrics request
Already past the 3-month mark
Still waiting...

I just saw Canada NY Consulate updated on their FB page dated Friday March 4th : they are processing applications submitted on Nov 27 2015

I submitted mine on December 15th 2015, i am just curious to know whether those date are legitimate given by Consulate on Facebook page.

Sadly no. My attorneys said that they submitted additional documents per the visa office's request last week. But there's no news since then.

I told the attorneys about the Facebook's page updates. THey didn't comment on it. They kept telling me to wait...

Did you submit your biometrics yet? When?

No I did not submit my Bio metrics. As per my research Bio metric is not implemented/ not required for all countries citizens. Check this link [cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp] which gives list of countries citizens are required to submit bio metrics.

They do motioned on FB page that, if Canadian Consulate have further questions about application those applications might take longer than usual time. I hope yours will have quick turn around time.

I will post here, if i hear something back from them.

You're right. I'm Vietnamese citizen, so biometrics were part of the package.

To keep you all posted, i just saw new update on Canada consulate NY office update :


This is what they have posted on their FB site

"Visa Section: Weekly Update 2016-03-11

The visa section is currently processing applications received via the Visa Application Centre (VAC) on the following dates:
Temporary Resident Visa (Visitor Visa): March 2, 2016

Work Permit (VAC): December 24, 2015
The visa section is currently processing work permit applications received online on the following date:

Work Permit (online): December 16, 2015

The visa section is currently processing Temporary Resident Permit & Rehabilitation applications* for business travellers during November 2015. Acknowledgment of receipt letters are being mailed for applications received February 2016."

I thought sekhar_bs would be interested in hearing news about his application, as he submitted his application on Dec 11 and based on update his application must have been processed and sekhar_bs can check with his attorney about his application status /updates.

Sorry to hear that khoadovu. Its "Game of Wait" for you ( we all wish you all the best and let us know if you have any updates or questions from your side - i hope most of the users from this blog might have some advise/suggestions)

What about your application? The FB updates and the 3-month milestone kinda suggests that you should have something really soon, no?

Yes, i am waiting for answer from our lawyers, its long process.


I sent email to my HR => hopefully they sent an email to our Law firm on friday March/11/2016==> then Law firm will send an email to Lawyer in Canada > then they he will look into my application account > then he will communicate to law firm in USA > then they will reply to my HR > then my HR will communicate to me

Lol, your process in even more cumbersome than I thought. For my case, I communicate with my lawyers in Canada which is handling my application in NY.

I've grown pretty impatient with this process, but I can't find any solution other than waiting. Do we really not have anything at our disposal? No request for emergency decision, no direct communciation with visa office employee, nothing?

i know...

i got bad news about my visa .. they told our law firm that lawyers did not submit fees amount ... so as of now "No Result" ... lawyer is saying they gave the amount.. now its more tricky situation than usual....

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues. These lawyers...you thought that since they got a doctorate degree they should have been smarter...

I just received words from my lawyers: I got my passport request. I'm going to submit my passport first thing tomorrow.

Good to hear your news and heartiest congratulations!
I read in one of the post that if you go in person to submit your passport it's more convenient (if CIC has some questions you can answer right away!) and faster in process.
