This is Shaista Meghani from Pakistan. I would like to have some guidance related to express entry for Canada immigration. can i go for ICES service for my credential evaluation? is this body evaluates nursing academic qualifications ?? ICES is recommended by CIC as I have confirmed from the CIC web but just need to know pertaining to nursing.

For nursing ,you mean I suppose 3 years general diploma..for that you can also go for WES ..Its faster

sorry never go for WES if u r diploma in nursing. I was a diploma in nursing from India and gkt rejected by wes, they said it is 3 year hospital study. My fsw application got rejected. ICAS is slow but recoganize diploma as equal as Canadian diploma. Sorry for spelling errors. Typing in my mobile.

Seriously? Why didn't you go for WES?

I waited 7 months for ICAS. Then after I got my ICAS report, I waited another 5 months to get the FBI police clearance. I wish I did those two in parallel especially that the FBI PCC will not expire in my case since I am currently residing outside US.

My advice is to start thinking about your Permanent Residence application while waiting for the ICAS report. And if there is something that takes a long processing time, maybe you will want to start it now.

I know that it is not easy to think of your PR application before submitting your Express Entry profile. But this can save you a lot of time.
