Today I enquired about our application which was deemed complete and ready for assessment on the 21st August. I also pointed out to them that they need to update the timescales advertised on their website. This was the response I received. They just completely ignored me.





Some of the files received on August 21 have been assigned to Assessment Officers. The remaining files are expected to be assigned to assessment officers later today or early tomorrow.

Could you please confirm when you will start processing August 21st applications with completed documentation?

Also, if I may, can I suggest that you update your website as your current timescales are VERY inaccurate and not very fair or helpful to customers. Your website says..

For applications received on September 8, 2014 and earlier, the estimated processing time for an assessment is approximately 10 weeks from the date on which all required documents are received in our office. This is an approximate processing time and is not a guarantee

You advised that my application was deemed complete on the 21st August, so before September 8th, and it has now been over 16 weeks that I have waited. I know you state that the ‘processing times are an estimate and not a guarantee’ , but there is a HUGE difference between 10 weeks and 16 weeks…

We have almost the same timeline but i did not rely on ICAS. In fact, my application was received as early as June 15 and additional docs received on July 8, but still report as of today is not yet done. But on October 30, I decided to used the services of WES. As of November 25 ECA report was received from them. Application was sent already to CIC as of December 5. Better safe than sorry.

Finally some good news.

I had updated from regular-mail to courier by paying extra $85 and last status should have been "Report Sent via Courier". Will wait for today for any update from courier services.
Electronic copy of report received on email. It is mentioned in email that courier service will update you in 1 business day. So will see if courier send me tracking number otherwise need to ask ICAS for refund.

Hi Guys,

I have been going through the posts for ECA..and they have been really helpfull. I have to file for my ECA and had a question.

I have done my masters which was a work integrated program through wipro india of 4 years. IS that of any good? if yeas then do i need to send my masers only for evaluation or will i need to send my bachelors too.

my bachelors's university is not listed in WES but masters is listed..and i dont want to go through ICAS after reading the posts...

Any suggestions...?

Highest degree documents are required only for ECA.
Yes, please choose only and only WES.

ICAS will ruin your dreams and you will keep on waiting for unlimited time. They have been proved to be worst and never keep upto their promises.

ICAS will surely disappoint everybody that used it. I have mine with them for three months now still showing application reviewed for completeness and place in queue for assessment. I wisely started another process with WES and got my ECA within a very short period of time. With the time left, I do not know how you will get another one through WES. I wish you the best of luck!!!!

I just have one more question... while applying for WES online i mentioned both my bachelors and masters degree. So when i got the confirmation mail from WES they mentioned that both bachelors and masters documents are required.

So now if i just send my masters documents...will they evaluate just my masters without my bachelors?

I don't want to send my bachelors as it is not listed with WES.

ICAS received my complete documentation on August 21 2014 and my status is application reviewed for completeness and placed in que for assessment, when possibly we will get the ECA certificate and what is the last date of sending the application to CIO please guide me i am very much worried and lost every hope.

Dear ICAS received my complete documents on 21 August 2014 and my current status is application reviewed for completeness and placed in que for assessment when possibly i will get the ECA Report and what is the last date for sending the complete application to CIO I have lost every hope and very worried.
