Hello everyone,

I applied for PR under the skilled worker category and they started to process it on June 20, 2006. I received my Initial Assesment yesterday on June 12, 2007. I went to university in Canada and currently I am working in Canada with a temporary work permit (after post-grad work permit).

I have some questions regarding what´s stated on the IA letter:

1. "No additional documents are required"

What about RCMP clearance?? I have been living in Canada on and off for 6 years now?

2. "We have confirmation that you have completed your medical examination" with "itvw waive FC - med complete May 06" at the bottom of the page

I had not even sent my application in May 06? Also, I received information on medical examination requirements and form IMM 1017 along with the IA letter. Does this mean I need to do my meds or not? Does this have something to do with the fact that I already have insurance through my company?

3. Right of PR Fee: Your sponsor is required to pay the RPRF...The CPC will send your sponsor the necesssary instructions.

I don´t have a sponsor! I applied as a skilled worker by myself and I had a permanent job offer from the company I was working at.

I appreciate your help, it almost seems like they stuck my name and file number on somebody else´s IA letter! The letter is stamped June 4, 2007 but under the name sticker you can see that it was printed on May 4, 2006.

What should I do??? Thanks!

Well it seems clear they have you confused with someone else. Maybe you should write them a letter explaining what does/doesn't seem accurate, and attach a copy of the IA letter. They're pretty busy and one mistake in the thousands and thousands of applications they receive is bound to happen sometime.

This is just a guess, but maybe your "sponser" is the Employer you got a job offer from... I think ( if I remember rightly..) that if an employer is involved in your process, they have certain responsibilities regarding your application. ( therefore they might be " sponsors" of your application..) Just a thought...
