Hi all,

Need some help. I woke up with 452 points today!! This is great, but I'm wondering if the CIC has had glitches in the system and give ppl points.

35 of these points are in regards to 1 year of CE, but according to my calculation that would be by September, not now. I'm still trying to figure out where the other 13 points are coming from. Weird thing is that they haven't added the one point for my spouse's education as he just graduated from college.

That's because the express entry tool calculate the experience in months but not dates so u may have completed one year in terms of months but not exactly 12 months . If u accept the ita with that score not having one complete year of work your e apr will be rejected .

Hi Guys,

I'm facing a similar issue. I had submitted by EOI last Nov with ~2 years of exp and got 449 points.
This weekend I got an email that my points have increased to 474 (because my work exp increased to 3 years). However, while submitting the EOI, it did not take into account the date of joining, only the month. So even though I started working at the end of the month, I'm assuming it accounted for the entire month. So on calculating, my work exp is actually 2.8 years. What are the implications of this and what should I do? I'm hoping to get picked in the next draws, but I do not want this to be an issue.

Thanks

Thanks a lot.

I know what happened now. I've completed the year somehow, but the thing is that one of my part time jobs stops for the summer (in July), and resumes in September. CIC doesn't know that, as you can't put it on the system and takes it as if I've got a year experience now. Will I have issues if I accept the ITA?

Thanks again,

Carlos

Same here, my points got increased for 3 years on July 1st, even though I put August 2013 in my EE profile for the time I started working.

I searched around in the forum and got mixed opinions, some said you cannot accept ITA and some said you can. And some people in this situation actually accepted ITA and got PPR. This is common problem since EE introduced, and this is not the first time people are asking. Do we actually have a case where someone accepted the ITA and got actually rejected because of this?

I am 100% sure you can accept ITA. I did and I got stamped Passport as well.
Also, In this forum somewhere, I read that someone contacted CIC for this clarification and they said they give the full month benefit.

Thank you for clarifying, this is big relief.

Guys,

I will complete my 4 years Canadian Exp on 25th March 2017 but my work permit is valid until 10th March 2017. So as per current thread will I get points for 4 years on march 10th 2017.

thanks

I agree. They need to release an official statement or fix this. I also had updated points for my 2-year work exp 1 month sooner than my start date.
