Hi Dear, as no concrete information was given by anyone i went to canadian consulate today and here are my observations:
1) most of the student applications have been processed (largely from SPP) - only 3-4 student came for enquiry today.
2) general applications are still being processed (daily passports are sent to VFS cross confirmed by me) beggining june applicants
3) nobody exactly knows the status of your application - neither VFS staff nor Canadian Consulate, there is no point in visiting the consulate (except if you want to and satisfy your ego) - they wont just allow you to enter the consulate ridiculous (off the point: they are charging 5500 rs embassy fee for whatt??? but they can't make the sitting arrangements for the people who have come as far as amritsar, just check consulates in another countries they have superd ac sitting facilities with counter and proper crowd management system)
4) vfs says check with consulate and consulate (actually the INTELLIGENT security guards) says check with vfs.
5) your application being processed first is entirely a matter of pure chance and luck because it seems there is no set pattern followed by the consulate in opening the files
6) delay and your visa approval has no co-relation... means after 2 months of wait you can just get refusal.
7) there is no mechanism enquiry form, case specific enquiry, manual enquiry that you can make to check the status of your application, YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE VO TO DISPATCH THATS ALL!!!
8) maximum applicants remaining are from sheridan (whose last date of registration is 12th of sept. mentioned in offer letter)
9) as per the security guards (who are hired from a local security agency and have nothing to do the in the business of the consulate as per protocol except from barring the people from entering the consulate) all cases for 12th of sept will be finished by tommorow. I do not believe them.
10) there is no official word about the delay but the rumor is that there were 1 lac, 2 lac student applications, becuase of rush, because of healthway immigration fraud. nobody knows the reason of the delay except the CHC chd staff which are cordonned off in the security layer. I have to say our PM does not have this much security.
11) IF YOU ARE A GENUINE STUDENT YOU WILL BE GRANTED VISA, if there is little doubt your visa will be rejected on silly objections
12) our media have not reported the state of students being affected by this (they are busy dealing other important issues and news you know already) - there is subtle mentioned of the healthyway immigration fraud that is.
and to quote from the canadian consulate website "visa to canada is NOT YOUR RIGHT but a privilege after you meet minimum requirments" and these mininmum requirements are subjective to the VO.
We can't do anything except curse ourselves and our poor nation positioning and our punjabi clan who have made getting a visa next to impossible because of fraudulent methods and documents.
