OMG theres no way i'm giving up my education for him......
My bf is telling me to complete my studies and move to BANGLADESH but I can't do that. He is not pressuring me to marry him but i think i'm in more rush lol. And about my mom, she doesnt really know him she just wants me to marry a doctor or a engineer from back home haha.
In two years i will definately be done with my studies and want him here by then thats why i'm trying to apply for him now because i know it takes a lot of time.

I'm just really sad now, I hope things willl work out.

When i send in the application do i need to submit his medical and his criminal record ? Or will they tell him to do that later on? And he also doesn't have a passport right now, does he need to make one before the application or can it be done later ?

He doesn't need a passport right now, just identifying documents, such as driver's license. He will need one later for the PR visa.

Do the police check, but wait on the medical until it's requested. Both are only valid for 1 year, but the police check is part of the application package. He may have to redo it. Just be prepared - it's part of the package. CIC also extends them sometimes.

I think you'll probably have an interview. Make sure to collect proof for the continuing relationship, then he can take it with him. (You don't have to go with him and you won't be allowed into the interview room even if you do. However, you can go to support him if possible.)

On the application, it will ask your occupation and want you to submit a copy of your Option C for the tax return. If you feel uncomfortable with just the information on the form, you can write a statement about your future plans. "I will graduate in (month) of (year) with a degree in XXX. I hope to work in X field and be established by the time the visa is granted for my husband. He is trained/has experience as XXX. I have viewed (job website) and found X jobs open to people with this experience, so I feel he will be able to find work in Canada."

You're welcome. Consider joining this thread too. It will probably be much more helpful than me.

It's for Skilled Workers, not Family Class, but they will probably be able to answer questions specific to Bangladesh.

Yes, but I think you will definitely will need to prepare for an interview.

My personal advice - 100% my opinion.

Don't quit school for any man. I am still trying to fix my mistake here ten years later.

Can you perhaps wait until you are finished with university to sponsor him? That will give you time to complete your education and have more time for the relationship to develop. Also, keep in mind, you will sponsor through Islamabad. It takes 26 months right now. There's a chance you will finish university before he is able to land. It may also give you time to develop more proof for the relationship to take to the interview.

Is he pressuring you to get married so you can sponsor him? I know you won't like this, but heed some of your mother's advice. She may see something you don't.
I agree with you on all of this, but small note: Singapore handles applications received from Bangladesh, which doesn't make a huge difference in terms of the time lines anyway...

Maria:

First you should know what Immigration Canada look for when sponsoring a spouse. Familiarize yourself with the requirements here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Then if you have any questions, post them here.

You have not got married yet, so you can plan it. You do not send anything until after the marriage. Many people from Bangladesh hardly have any proof of anything before marriage because most marriage are arranged marriage. The Bride & Groom have hardly met before marriage. In your case, you have at least some proof that you have met this man and kept communication. You can print skype screenshot and chat history. Also, you have pictures as you said and proof that you have visited Bangladesh. It is important that there are wedding pictures. If you get married in Bangladesh, there will be a wedding in your husband's house.

As for whether you should marry this person, that is totally upto you, isn't it? If you love him and know that he loves you too and not because you live in Canada, then why not.

All Immigration Canada wants to make sure is that your marriage is genuine.

The problem is that our parents don't know that we are getting married cause they will never accept it so we won't be having any kind of wedding pics, but we have lots of pictures together. I went to see him like 4 times within a year I have those proofs, and also phone bills where it shows we've been talking for like 6 hours a day ::) . I gave him lots of gifts which I have recipts for and also pics of him with the gifts. Oh and I also have a recipt with both our names on from the hotel we stayed together in bangladesh. Thats pretty much all I can provide for proof of relationship and offcourse the marriege certificate. And when I do go to marry him we can open a joint bank account together...Is that gonna be enough? I'm really scared I dont want anything to go wrong :(

All Immigration Canada needs to know is that your marriage is genuine. So, if it is genuine, his application will be approved sooner or later.

What happens between you and your family after you marry him is a different matter.

You should take / do the following:

1. Have him sign the appropriate forms after the forms have been completed (remember he is the Applicant and you are the Sponsor)

2. Notarized copy of Marriage Certificate

3. Notarized Copy of his Birth Certificate

4. Pictures on the date of your wedding. Honemoon pictures (plane/ train tickets, hotel receipts etc.). Also include the pictures and copies of plane tickets of your previous trips to see him. Mark them in accordingly.

5. Letters from his friend and if possible your friend who were at the wedding stating that they know the marriage is genuine (the letter should state their full name, contact address, phone & e-mail address)

6. His Medical check-up form (he has to go to a approvaed medical practitioner in Dhaka and they will take the exam and give a copy of a form that you need to attatch with the application. There is one doctor's office in Banani above Prescription Point )

7. His police report (it is done mainly from Ramna Thana. He needs to go)

8. Copy of his passport (first 3/4 pages)

9. Copy of chat/e-mail logs/ phone calls logs etc.

MAKE SURE TO FILL OUT THE APPROPRIATE FORMS THAT ARE HIS (IMMIGRATION FORMS). YOU WILL SEND EVERYTHING (ALONG WITH YOUR FORMS AND APPROPRIATE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS & PAYMENT RECEIPTS) IN A PACKAGE IN MISSISSAUGA OFFICE (IF YOU LIVE IN ONTARIO).

Yes, they all got to Mississauga.

Family in this case means Himself, a spouse, and children that aren't already PRs or Citizens.

It sounds like you need to read the guides and the first post by Leon thoroughly before doing anything else. If you're still having this much trouble with the paperwork, you may want to consider consulting a lawyer to help you with the process.
