Hi! As the title says, I really want to move out of the USA to Canada in a year or so.

For context, I’m a high school student in senior year. I have been saving money for a while to move out of here, and I’ll be 18 in a few months. I have been dreaming of moving permanently to Canada by myself for years now, but I’m really confused on what to do…

I’m planning to go to study in Canada after high school, but I don’t know exactly what to do.

Google - IRCC Study permit and read requirements. You will want around $35-40k at a minimum . Studying in Canada doesn’t allow you to stay permanently. It allows you to study but you justify costs of program with career opportunties in home country. Canada has slashed immigration so even those international students in Canada now with Masters and year of Canadian experience are not getting PR.

As said above, having the available funds saved is the key part of what will determine if this is feasible for you. If your aim is to move permanently, do not come here for a diploma. Make sure you come for a Bachelor degree. This will require you or your parents to show significant savings. As also said above, studying in Canada does not guarantee PR. For studying in Canada, you'll need to research designated learning institutions and budget around $35-40k. Get a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) and prepare your study permit application - it costs $150 CAD.
