I am thai, My boyfriend is Canadian. we are conjugal partners, i dont live in canada and I am pregnant, will give birth on July. what i have search on here,in case of wife, CIC can not refuse even the sponsor's income is lower than Level income requirement. what about if in conjugal partner and especially getting pregnant and will have a baby soon, it's the same conditon ? and if conjugal partner is not the same condition, Who can be the co-signer?
for more details, I am worried about the income because 2 years ago, last year and this year. My bf have taken vacation 5-6 months in Thailand. So his income was not much.
I want to apply PR before I will give birth because I want to save some money for the process of preparing documents such as translation birth certificate, household registration,id card etc., But I don't know if it's good to do or should I wait after I give birth? Does it affect the approving process?
Please give me suggestion
Thanks so much

Income shouldnt be an issue. What may be an issue is proving conjugal. What is stopping your boyfriend going to thailand to be with you?

Thanks Gary_87 for kindly reply ,it's sound good for us about income, because we both are worrying aobut income issue.
additional details , right now we are living together in Thailand, he is here on tourist visa for 6 months and the visa will expire on August after i will give birth around 1 month. we rent house to live together. we plan to finish gathering documents in this months and will send to CIC on June. we want to move to live in Canada because we feel it's best to raise a baby in Canada.

Do you think does it matter if I will send all documents without mecical health check, because I want to avoid doing x-ray during pregnancy and will do it after i give birth??
Thanks so much for suggestion.

If he's living with you then you don't qualify for conjugal. After one year of living together you qualify to apply as common-law. Conjugal is for people who are completely unable to establish common-law or get married due to immigration and/or legal barriers. Is there a way he can apply to extend his visitor's visa for another 6 months?

You can complete all parts of the medical except the x-ray and do the x-ray after the child is born. You can discuss this with a panel physician too.

There is no minimum income requirement to sponsor a spouse/common-law partner. The only requirement is that the sponsor is not on welfare. The CIC will want to see some evidence that he can support you, but there's no requirement.

Do NOT send any application in June, as it will be rejected. As stated by others, you do NOT qualify as conjugal partners since there is no immigration or legal barrier to you to become common-law or married.

In order to have your bf sponsor you for PR, you have only 2 options:
1. Get married
2. Live together for 12 continuous months to become common-law. He can extend his visa there if needed to accomplish this. CIC will not care if he needs to return to Canada to work, that is his personal choice.

Having a baby together does not change this. Even after baby is born you will need to be married or common-law to apply. Again do not submit a conjugal app as after years of processing it will certainly be rejected.

If you choose not to get married, he needs to apply to extend his visitor status. Unlike Canada, those that remain in Thailand without authorization (overstay) face serious consequences, like incarceration. This would NOT be a wise thing to do.
