Ok so the situation is this. My wife is applying for Permanent resident here inside Canada under the Live-in Caregiver act. And I am already a Permanent Resident since 2006 and we have a son who was born in Canada and he is a Canadian Citizen. My wife received an email from the CIC that requiring her family member to undergo medical and background check. Why do I and my son have to do it if we are not applying? And how it will affect the application of my wife because I have a criminal record.
