Thanks for the help everyone. I got married January 29th, should I have heard from them by now saying I can get my certificate....or should i just send the papers? I'm confused. I don't know where to find a fax number or what I should even fax in the first place.

They will not let you know that it is ready. You have to apply. I recommend doing it online rather than by paper as it is several weeks faster. You can do it here: http://www.ontario.ca/en/services_for_residents/121591.html

Hi shandymoo

I've read your post about marriage certificate. I just got married with my husband who is a canadian citizen. So now we are going to apply the permanent resident application, and now we are waithing for the marriage certificate which it says it takes 12 weeks to get it. so i called in thunder bay by (416) 326-1234 to ask to get my marriage registration and certificate expedited for immigration purposes, then a guy answer my phone said i can't request for a new marriage certificate expedited, it's only for old marriage certificate. So now i would like to ask how did you do it to get the marriage certificate quickly?
