I need help for applying Express Entry - Canada from India

There are 30 points for your wife I think, IELTS (10), ECA (10) and Work experience (10). What is the CLB you checked for yourself to get 340 points?

Its 40 points maximum for spouse. IELTS (20), Education (10), CANADIAN work experience(10)

Hello friends,

I received my CSQ after much efforts and a long wait time of 5 years. I applied to the Federal on 8th May 2017 and am now waiting for further process. However some of my friends are insisting that I should apply through Express Entry as it is much faster. I had applied through Express Entry in 2015, before getting my CSQ but Ontario turned down my application in early 2016 stating that I had not submitted my photos. The suggestion is that I should simultaneously apply through Express Entry and if I get an Invitation to Apply I should revoke my application from Quebec. Can you please suggest me what I should do and whether this is acceptable? I don't want to take risk but at the same time I want to try in every way possible. My score right now is above 400 but will come down to 398 in about a couple of months due to the age factor. I have spoken to various consultants but their advice is not satisfactory. Please advise and help me!

But again, if i get 340 points also not worth right? please help me to understand based on your experience.. should i try or leave it, i really dont like to waste money if this is not happening., if you share me your advice i will follow accordingly... and if i have to get good points what else i have to do apart from my profile listed above., i am totally confused to whether apply or leave after checking my points in online tool..,

Yes, 40 points from the wife side. Like I mentioned earlier, you may look for provincial nomination like Saskatchewan.
Quebec "https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/mon-projet-quebec/" is another good option but very long waiting time (8 to 18 months) to get the CSQ + 4-6 months for PR. There are other Provincial nomination available as well, but getting the qualifying information is difficult (atleast for me). Getting CLB 9 is not so difficult. You can get it with good practice. I am not aware of anyone getting job offer from Job bank.
I have very good materials for IELTS (soft copies) but the size is in GB's. I am in Chennai, if you have anyone in Chennai they can copy in a pen drive.

Hi Shahid,

I am not sure whether you can take the tutor based course with IDP from India, in their website it is mentioned as Australia only. I am sure British council have tutor based courses, please post in the forum and ask others for the opinion. The video lessons from IDP are good, so I would prefer to go with IDP if they assess the writing and speaking.

Yes, my PR application is progress. Start the preparation for IELTS exam, and in parallel work out the transcripts for WES. Book you IELTS exam after you send the documents to WES. WES attestation will take 2 months approximately, so use this entire period to prepare for IELTS exam. I am sure with my materials you can easily score CLB 9 or 10 in Reading and Listening. For writing you will have all the books and tests, but you need some expert in english to assess your writing, and same goes for speaking. If you are so serious in moving to Canada, then look for some courses with British council. They have courses to improve your IELTS score.
