How does the immigration officer determine the actual hours worked?. I mean how will they be convinced that the applicant completed the whole 1950 hours? Is it from the employment letter from the company stating the hours completed or from the income tax slips(t4). This is eating me up and I need to know. pls respond...

Your letter of employment should state clearly the number of hours worked PER WEEK. If you had an LMO (which states number of hours), that information will be available to CHC.

Sometimes people work more than the minimum number of hours per week stated in a contract. In my case, my contract stated 33.75 hours per week "minimum," which made my contract "part-time" in the eyes of CIC. HA. But because I am salaried, it was not possible to document that I work a full 40 hour week. (So I had to work 3 extra months to qualify). An immigration officer told me that it is possible to use paystubs to prove that you work the minimum of 37.5 hours per week if you earn an hourly wage and it shows the number of hours... I don't know what other options would be accepted (if any) if there is a discrepancy between the number of hours on the contract and the number of hours actually worked...

Thanx Jes-On.. I've been wondering.. I was thinking that the income tax return (T4) slips will prove the total number of hours that the person worked based on the income statement.

It might, I imagine this might be one of those things that CHC would seek to clarify with the employer, or possibly request more documentation. Problem is, when they request more "documentation", it's very vague, they tend to not be very clear about what they're looking for.
