Hi To Everyone,
I was down town and i met one lady and she was asking for directions. I helped her and we talked a little and then she explained to me her problem.

The husband passes away, when they had booked for their tickets and ready to travel to Canada. the husband was the principal applicant. She finally arrived with her three children, but they are dealing their PR cards. She can not work no do anything else.

Please i need suggestions for the forum so i can be able to help her.
Please i knew i read something like this long time ago, but had no idea of how the did before obtaining their PR cards.

Thanks in advance and i am waiting.

I am sorry for this family's situation. I can't help wonder how they got here if the husband was the main applicant. Surely he would have to land first??

If the lady has her PR why is she unable to work? There are some major details missing in this saga. Perhaps she can access some programmes for new immigrants and get some assistance to get started. What a hard way to come to a new country as a widow.

I suspect the full story is that the woman and her children were refused landing since the application was approved based on the principle applicants skills / experience / capabilities and he's unfortunately no longer alive. I further suspect they were allowed into Canada as visitors while CIC considers if they will be issued PR cards on an H&C basis.

Is that the full story?

If it is, I don't know what to suggest apart from getting a really good lawyer.

Hi Scylla,
yes that is exactly what happened. Things like this have happened and i read it before. We are here to help and if you can not then just be quiet and give no comments.

Yes she has already met a lawyer and trying to see what they can do as far as their PR are concerned. She showed all the paper work and the dead certificate before they were let into Canada.

So i was just asking if anyone has any idea or another way to help since the PR is taking too long to be processed.

Thanks

Hi Pippin,
That is the first question i also asked her. She said the boarded the flight since all had been booked and she got the dead certificate and they were allowed to come in. Maybe she met a good immigration officer at the boarder. some of them also have human feelings seeing the situation at hand.

Well i called her and she has got a lawyer to follow up the PR cards.

Hi Pippin.
She just came in and has not yet gotten the PR card yet. The husband died and then she had the dead certificate and moved with the kids here and she was allowed to enter Canada. cases are exceptional. I was even surprised that she was allowed inside. Some immigration officers are good. Eg just like some will let you in with asking for proof of funds and other will even go as far as counting the money they did in my case.

Hi Kiala,
I have no idea if it is scam, what will she gain from it. i am also trying to ask if any ideas because we live in the same neighbor hood. i met her again at the bus stop.

She actually was let in but the PR is taking too long. I visited her where she lives and when i saw her papers i knew it is true but not scams.

She will just be trying and something good will happen. It is only taking time but it will happen.

Thanks all the same for you suggestions.

Sorry. I thought I was helping by explaining what likely happened in detail. You provided very little information in your original post that would allow others to understand what happened (as evidenced by Pippin's questions and confusion). I thought others would likely be confused too. I am here to help and thought I would help in this case by clarifying what I thought happened.

Since you didn't find this helpful, I will "just be quiet" as you've suggested and won't help any further.

I wish this woman luck. I'm glad to hear she is working with a lawyer.

Scylla I can understand your response. I was taken aback when I read the comment too, but I don't think Canadaforall targeted it to you, rather the poster afterward. We all know that your posts are compassionate, accurate and appreciated.

I do not think it is a scam, I knew someone who is in the same situation, they got their PR visa, they bought their tickets and resigned their jobs. Unfortunately, the principal applicant who is the man died. People advised her to travel and see if she could land.
It may be the same person because it happened this year in my country

Please do help her because I did and still feel for her
Cheers

Yes , Favourmercy, it might be the same person. Who knows i was just writing here because i know there is a lot of information here. It is not a common topic that you can find all over the forum, I know it is a little hard to help, but we will try to see the little we can help.

Some people also have good information concerning certain things. That is why i wrote it here.

God is there for her and i hope all will be fine.

Agreed it was not even targeted to him , i was talking to Kiala because he said it is a scam. I do not think someone can be scamming here.

Sorry Scylla, i was not talking to you, like pippin has said.

Thanks

Yes, Pippin i did not want to write so long and some people do not have the patience to read a very lengthy post. It is very clear now.

I am sorry, if there were no details, but the main points were there. That is the essential thing.
