Hello all,

Good day.

I have some questions about my future applications.

I have withdrawn my application for my Open Work Permit since I am clear that I would not qualify for one. Now I have some other questions.

I applied for an extension for my visitor visa in May 2013 and left during the implied status. My application for the extension was approved. Now, the issue is that, on that application, because it was an online application, I did not know how to submit more information than the space they provide us in the sections. For example, the section where they ask if you have lived in other countries more than six months, other than Canada and my birth country. I was only able to enter two periods of time when I was in Australia for my studies. But now I recalled one more time when I was in Australia for one month and I did not enter into the application, but nonetheless, got approved.

So now, I am thinking if I had submit my future application for extension of visitor visa, or my PR application, would I be counted as a fraud case? Like would the immigration see me as I had lied?

Please advise.

Thank you

That other time you weren't there for 6 months, so I think you're fine.

Hi Duber,

I was actually in Canada from 29 Nov 2012 to 3 June 2013 (first period of stay). Then I came back in 21 July 2013 and was granted six months upon entry.

In my first period, I was here for 6 months and 5 days. That's why I applied for extension. So when you said I was not here for 6 months, what does that mean exactly?

Please advise.

You said there was a time you were in Australia for one month. Since that wouldn't count as living in another country for six months I don't think it's a big deal you didn't mention that one month stretch.
