hi everyone, i made a mistake on my background form:
question 6 part d)have you been refused refugee status, visitor visa or trv: i answered No
part e)have you been refused admission to canada: i answered Yes and gave details that i applied for TRV and it was not granted, i also gave reasons why.
now here is my question, on part d) i answered No yet it was supposed to be Yes, then on part e) i answered Yes and gave full details, do you think that officer will take this as misrepresentation as both questions seem alike, i just dint notice part d). however much i said the truth on part e) and even gave reason, i hide nothing only that i dint notice part d)

i already received PPR in july and sent it in Aug. and now am still waiting
please advise me on this, am very scared about the impact on my application.

The visa officer will probably take it as a harmless mistake, since you gave full details of the rejected visa in part e). Obviously, you were not trying to hide it.
If your app is being processed at a visa office where they ask for the passport very early in processing (such as New Delhi) I would just send them a letter (with your file number, name and date of birth so they can easily find your file) stating you made a mistake and actually the answer should have been 'yes'.
If you are going through a visa office where a passport request means they will be issuing the visa shortly, I wouldn't do anything, since it would mean they had accepted your application as is.

hi canadianwoman thank you very much for that reply, my visa office is Nairobi and am not sure of the procedure whether they request pp at front or end, but they have been with my passport since mid August, and am still waiting: i received a letter in July stating that in order to continue processing your appl, we require the following, PP, PCC and have my sponsor pay RPRF, so am still waiting. should i send a letter still, or its too late

The additional requests for the passport, PCC and RPRF would indicate that your processing is going fine and soon to be completed. I would not worry about it.

Part D appears to be applicable to persons who have applied for any type of visa/status but were not issued/granted the same. This is very common. However, Part E appears to be applicable to those who have been issued some sort of visa by the visa office but were refused admission to Canada by the immigration officer for some or the other reason. This is uncommon.

I would recommend that you send a fax to the visa office that has your PP mentioning that you made a mistake on the application and that the correct entries should be as follows (here mention the correct details). Ensure that you state you were never refused admission to Canada and that only your trv application was refused.

Just my opinion.

Email or fax would not matter. If you email any information, make sure you sign on the hard copy of the statement you are making and attach it to the email (as a pdf file or something similar). Simply sending an email would not suffice - they need the signature of the applicant/representative.
