you can get RQ before the test as well as after the test, security check has nothing to do with it , you can even get RQ when you go to attend the oath , in this case they have given RQ to people who went to attend the oath and where returned...good luck!

The security check is when they are verifying all the information one sent in the application and deciding if the application is considered to be the routine or non-routine - that's what the CIC agent told me when I asked him this question.

You are right. But mostly people are given RQ on the test date when the officer does not like something or gets into doubts after checking the documents provided.

Have you called the CIC call center recently? The can tell you if your security check was done, this way you can be sure whether they will issue RQ to you or not.

I called them, they said my file is ok and routine. Just wait for test date.

I also called the call center and they told me that I will be getting test in a month's time and actually in the month's time , I received an RQ!!! ;D

RQ is not a disease that I have to face it or recover from it, it is part of the citizenship process ..so who ever is not expecting an RQ ..should expect one and prepare documents before hand..and submit..people who have genuine case should not be worried about RQ ..they may face delay which is happening for 1/3rd of the total applications anyhow..

Today I Called CIC, they said wait until may 2015. yes not2014. its 2015.2 yrs. file is ok and it was sent to Mississauga. and he added 2015 ,if everything goes well.

I wouldn't go with these words. The CIC agent just wanted to discourage you from calling them - that's a usual reply. When I phoned them the other day, I was told by a lady that after the security check is done the test is supposed to be scheduled no later that 9 months from that date.

Earlier one lady told me you will get your test before jan2014. I felt happy and continued reading discover Canada. Later another man told you will get in april 2014. Today another man told may2015. I felt very sad. Thank you suin, your reply gave me hope. 2 yrs waiting is too much, as many are getting fast in 8 months.

I'm very positive that we will get our oath before April 2014. Mississauga is quite fast. According to the forum feed-back they do send the test letters to ppl whose cases they received in July - August. In a month or two it can be our turn as well.
