Did she ask for it or you just told her you don't have it
they had written on the board that take the following documents out and present to officer when you are called.
Confirmation of permanent residence was first document on that list, along with two ids, all passports PR cards etc.

So when I got to her I just told her I don't have COPR. She said oh thats ok, what happened to it, i told her it is in a safety deposit box and she said its fine.

Cadvis why would you need your COPR after you become a citizen??

You usually need it to collect your OAS (Old Age Security) pension

no my PR card was expired during the interview she asked me your PR card has expired have you applied for a new one. i said no. And she didn't say anything[/QUOTE

we don't need PR card renewed even if it is expired before citizenship? please confirm as i may be in the same situation towards end of this year

PR card need not be renewed if you don't plan on travelling outside Canada. You can take your oath with an expired PR card, as several others have noted on this forum.
