just landed in canada a while back...any body have questions can ask me...i'll try to answer them.

my flight was to toronto via london...no transit visa was required at london (stay was 5 hours) ...london airport was quite crowded.

At the toronto airport....first stand in line for visitors in canada...and give the passport, and immigration form (provided in the plane), letter of acceptance and the letter provided with visa. the immigration officer asks some questions like which college and which course and the duration ...then directs you towards second officer where the study permit is provided.

then just collect the baggage and leave the airport.

Some people believe they ask u million questions and make it tough for u and they also believe they sent students back... Lol... Hey buddy which college and program u r here for.... study permit is a page stapled to the passport....which contains the name and college name etc.

yeah ..no transit visa for london...if you have a connecting flight from london within 24 hours and also visa of the other country.

Don't mention at POE that you are changing university....that might flag something...do anything after you enter canada....and try to enter in province where the uni is located for which u got visa.

Hi,

You just need to stay alert at the time of chat with the officer....the officer tried to trick me...i was going for centennial....first, he asked me the college name....after some time he asked me" So which course from george brown??" ...at which i corrected him and he immediately let me through.

the main thing is you need to stay alert about the questions they are asking...prepare some answers beforehand. if they see something fishy then they might flag you and they have the power to deport you.
