Hello everyone,

Happy New year to you, so this is my story...ive wanted to migrate to canada ever since i visited years ago and fell in love with the country literally as soon as i walked out of the airport lol...i did the online test to see if i qualify under the skilled worker route and i obtained a mark of 67. i have a university degree in Business Administration from the University of hertfordshire in the Uk and approx 10 years work experience, 9 years as an Administrative Assistant, and 1 year as a Business Development Officer (this is currently my job) .

I know that applications under this route were temporarily stopped last yr, and i read that they will resume taking applications in May of this year...do you guys have any tips for me in completing my application, ive read a few of the posts here...and you all seem real knowledgeable wrt the process, i would really really appreciate some help and guidance...also does anyone know the time frame it would possibly take? and is it better if i use the services of an immigration lawyer? or i can do it myself??

Thanks much in advance!!!

To star64,

It seems like with your year experience in Canada, you may also consider CEC (canadian experience class) as FSW is closed till May.
As long as your NOC is 0, A, or B and 12 months working experience in the last three years, you are qualified for this program. Of course there are some supporting documents along with it.

I personally think that it's manageble to prepare on your own. Especially if you have no dependants it wouldn't be too difficult to do it. Even if you have a family, it is more documents to prepare I think.
