Hi

i want some information about IELTS exam, me and my husband want to apply for canada immigration,i wanted to know if both of us should do the exam? and what score is required as minnimum for mentioned test? also when we should do the test and submit it? will it be along with the application or later when the application get evaluated and approved by the immigration office?

1. Only the principal applicant has to supply IELTS
2. If you are apply to Buffalo, you have to include it with the application, other offices you wait until it is requested.
3. There is no minimum, see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf page 9 to see how many points you receive.

CAE cambridge advanced english are acceptable for canada immigration

Dear sir
i have done my CAE (cambridge advanced english) and got score equal to IELTS
READING 195 = 7.0 BAND
WRITING 195= 7.0
LISTENING 195= 7.0
SPEAKING 178=6.5

will canada accept the CAE test instead of IELTS ???????

It a must that the principal applicant submit a valid IELTS band score per requirement of the program. Applicant's spouse can also submit IELTS for points on adaptability. In the case of FSW2014, for example, a CLB of 4 or higher will give add 5 points of adaptability to the application. This is a fixed "hit-or-miss" for points from the spouse while the principal applicant can get higher points for the applicaiton with higher CLB on IELTS.

I don't think CAE is accepted. Even IELTS Academic version is not, either. Please refer to the program you apply again for specific info on this and plan for the test accordingly.
