Hi All,
Just looking for some general feedback on whether it is better to go for PR application through a provincial nomination or directly through a FSW ITA (without nomination) works fine as well.
My current situation is that, my NOC code is 2171 (Product Analysts and Consultants) and I received an ITA for my EE application, my spouse is a dependent in my application.
At the same time, a few weeks back my husband received letter of interest from OINP for his EE profile as we had both submitted our individual profiles, his primary NOC is 2174 (Computer Programmers), we have not yet accepted the OINP letter of interest and applied for provincial nomination through his profile as we are still putting together the required documentation.

Now, since I received an ITA directly through the FSW draw, we want to go ahead and accept the ITA for my application and apply for the PR. But, we would like to know if there is more weightage given to a specific NOC like 2171 vs 2174 when the PR application is being reviewed by IRCC?
Similarly, is accepting an ITA through provincial nomination going to provide any more benefits in the approval process of a PR apart from the addition of 600 points to one's EE profile which guarantees receiving an ITA?

This information will help us understand if accepting the ITA directly would be same as accepting ITA received through PNP nomination and our NOC codes will not impact the decision making for approval of the PR eventually. Any feedback on this would help.

Thank you in advance!

If you have an ITA otherwise, there is no point in going for PNP. There's no weightage to NOC as such, the only point is that you should be able to produce relevant experience proof corresponding to the NOCs. Going through PNP would mean more time, and more money too, with no real benefit.

No, once you have an ITA your application is processed the same as everybody else and your CRS score is irrelevant. Choose whichever one you want.

Thank you both for your response on the above query. I have an additional question about responsibilities for NOC 2171, hoping someone can help and confirm if my responsibilities in my current role are sufficiently matching the responsibilities described for NOC 2171 – Information systems analysts and consultants.

I am currently working in the role of a Product Analyst, my major responsibilities include working along with the Product Manager in the organization for finalizing any functionality that will go in the next development cycle of the product and then work with the development and quality assurance teams to help them understand these requirements so they can develop and test it in the upcoming release cycle.

Below are most of my responsibilities in this role:

Acting as primary liaison for the engineering teams and Product Manager of the designated product portfolio, aiding in the development and delivery of a quality software
Confer with Product Manager and customers to identify and document requirements for enhancement requests
Prioritizing requirements in conjunction with the Product Manager for each development cycle and managing the requirements in product backlog
Manage Product Backlog by creating and maintaining detailed functional and technical use stories through the process of story grooming.
Work closely with peer Product Analysts to ensure inter-team dependencies for the requirements being developed are handled
Work closely with the UX design team to design a product with focus on better user experience and accessibility
Collaborate with the product documentation team to document the developed solutions in a clear and concise manner
Participate in release and launch activities for each product update cycle such as product documentation review, internal team and customer training
Participate in customer research to keep abreast of product trends and use this information towards planning the roadmap for the product
Review and triage customer enhancement requests along with the Product Manager

As you can see above, I do not perform any kind of coding as such of the software, instead I am involved in the functions that fall around the development of the software product. So, is this enough for me to pass for a NOC 2171 – Information systems analysts and consultants?

Thank you in advance for your response!
