If he was your common-law partner but you didn't declare him, then you can be prevented from sponsoring him. If you did not live together yet and you get married, you can sponsor him as soon as you get the marriage certificate and you have gathered all the needed documents. No waiting needed. Just FYI that there is a new conditional PR for him that after you have successfully sponsored him and he becomes pr you need to live together for 2 years. otherwise they might revoke his permanent residence. You should read the CIC website a little bit more so you can have more official facts straight form the CIC. Although, You might be exempted from this rule if you can prove that you have been in a relationship for 2 or more years.

Hi, It could be emails, chat conversations, text messages, photos, declarations from family and friends, etc from 2 years ago.
Some people don't bother doing that because after getting married they expect to live together for 2 years or forever anyways. LOL
and LOL. stop asking the same questions over and over YES you can sponsor him right away after getting married.
