I have my CoPR, but nowhere is accepting it.

So I got my PR! I have a CoPR, but I applied for my new SIN and they sent it back saying I didn't send the CoPR. But I did.

Same thing happened with my MSP application. They sent back the application as incomplete, even though it wasn't. A paranoid part of me is starting to think my CoPR is fake or something. I know that isn't the case, but what gives? Two applications returned because they don't like the CoPR.

That's probably why?

I assume you were one of those people who received your COPR in the mail?

I think you need to compare notes with others who have gone through that.

As far as I know, a COPR isn't official until a CBSA agent signs off on it, and that means you've officially landed as a PR.

No, I got it sent to me through GCkey. Didn't even have an interview because of the pandemic. How can an officer sign it in that case?

It does say I can send it to them with 2 photos to get my actual card, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Perhaps I should just do that, but they warn it could take ages due to covid

I'm not sure, but i understand why they would not accept it if it's not signed off.

I thought that they were foregoing landing interviews for inland applicants and you were supposed to already get the COPR signed when you received it.

But that's what you should confirm with someone in the same situation.

You shouldn't need an actual PR card to get this stuff done, your COPR should be enough.

Yeah, I haven't been instructed to do any of that...

So confusing! Hopefully someone else will weigh in too

Send them the photos for the PR card, there have been several inland applicants who have gotten their PR cards in about a month.

You could be one of them.

I'm starting to think the document I've been given isn't actually my CoPR...

Damn, that's not what I've got.

The one I have is a letter from an agent saying that my application for PR is now complete.
At the top is a CoPR document number (which is why I thought it was my CoPR) that starts with a T. I retrieved this document from my GCKEY. On there it says I have been issued a CoPR with that T number. But there is no document like that one you linked available.

I think I've figured it out.

Because of the pandemic, they are issuing "virtual CoPR" documents, which constitutes a letter from an agent, not the usual copr. But nowhere is accepting these because they're brand new. Seems I probably have to wait til my card.

Oh okay, it's also probably why inland applicants are getting their PR cards quite soon compared to outland applicants.

Hi,

What you got isn't the CoPR. Don't worry, I also thought it was and I sent a copy of that to apply for the PR card. So we have to wait until we get the actual CoPR to start applying for all the documents. On the other hand, someone told me on another thread that IRCC is sending the PR cards without further applications on your behalf, but at this point, I'm not sure what to expect.

So let's wait and see when we finally get the CoPR. Good luck!
