My mom has applied for Canadian PR from Singapore under the Skilled Worker Category. She is a Singapore Citizen.
My question is:

1. Will I get my PR the same time she gets it? Or do I have to wait a couple of months more before I get it?
2. Is it necessary for her to stay in Canada after she gets her PR? Is it possible for only me come to Canada and stay here as a PR? She is not really interested to come here. She applied for the PR just so I can get it.

Yes you will get your PR the same time your mother gets hers, provided you are included in the application.

As for your mother not been interested in staying in Canada, i think that will be pretty difficult cos by rule you the principal applicant must spend at least 6 months out of a year for the PR to be valid (please correct me if i am wrong members), except the principal applicant engages in a job with a Canadian firm, and posted outside Canada, or the Canadian Government outside of Canada.

coq_guy, your mother is principle applicant, it is necessary for her to land in Canada initially. Because you are a dependant child you alone can not come to Canada. But once you both land there, she can leave and you can stay there.
To maintain PR status one has to live minimum two years in five years time. If she is uanble to live that much time her PR status will be cancelled.

Thanks
