Hi everyone,

I have a question about IMM 5669 form PA. My common-law partner included in 10. addresses that she lived in Thailand for about 1 year, however she had to leave Thailand every 2 months to renew her visa, so is she exempt from providing a police clearance to CIC about her stay in Thailand, I know that it says if a person has lived 6 months in a foreign Country, they need to provide police clearance from that Country. I would think that she does not need a police clearance from Thailand, because if she did anything illegal they would stop her at the border. I have been living with her for the past 4 years here in the PH's and she did provide her police clearance from the PH's... thx

She has to provide a police clearance certificate for the country she is currently living in and the country she has spent most of her life since 18.

Is one of those two places Thailand?

If it is, she must provide a police clearance certificate for Thailand, even if she left every 2 months. Just asserting that her admission to the country means she has no criminal issues is not sufficient.

However, if she is not residing in Thailand and has not spend most of her life in Thailand since 18, then she does not, because the guide says that the certificate is not needed in this case. Not because she left every two months.

She was just in Thailand for 1 year in 2014/2015, she lived most of her life since she is 18 in the Philippines.
