I Hate This Nairobi Visa Office

Long story short, after running around to send them the evidence of my latest vacation with my wife and getting the interview waived! My wife sent her passport on Sunday and they asked for a re-medical. But but but even if I do the medical exam for the second time in 13 months. This process for permanent residence will not be complete till I send them an x-ray test. My wife is 5 months pregnant so I have to wait till July birth of my child then wait few more months for my child to get stronger for them to board a plane!! Wow I sent them a link to extend the validity of the medical because it is within 15 months since the first medical we did. Can someone give me a way around this!! Or any advice ( instead of just wait) on how to go about finishing this, without having to wait. Thanks

If it were me I would just do the medical again, even though they should extend them. Save yourself the hassle of trying to get in touch with the visa office. By the time you get a reply e-mail, you could have already finished the second medical. Sure, it sucks to pay twice, but in the grand scheme of things it's but a drop in the bucket.

It's not that I don't want to do the medical but my wife is pregnant and an x-ray for her isn't good or recommended. So they told me to do the medical but you have to do the x-ray after she gives birth so basically I'm waiting 6 more months just for an x-ray, JUST FOR AN X-RAY!! This is stressful a month ago they told me she was in an interview queue, then I find out there is no interview set for that country this year. I basically have to do my own research to get things done and make sure this goes quick!!!

In that case, I would be sending them e-mails to ask if the x-ray from the first medical can be used instead of having to wait to do a second one. Explain your predicament. I don't see why you should have to wait until after the birth, especially since you should have been able to extend your first medical. Not only that, but family class medicals don't really matter very much. Hopefully someone with a logical brain will realize this and extend the first medical.

What about your baby? Will he/she have to be sponsored?

I guess I am just lucky when it comes to dealing with CIC. Everything was so smooth and easy. The hardest part was preparing the application.

Even if you have to wait, and even though it's hard to do, you'll eventually get through it.

My child would be canadian citizen and wouldn't need me to sponsor. I will try emailing and asking them to use the previous x-ray ( cross fingers) . Sometimes these visa offices can drive you crazy. I'm gonna keep annoying them lol thanks for the advice
