I got my Visa

If you are applying at Chandigarh,i found Paper application better than ONLINE because

1. Fixed time frame of 2 weeks/10 working days for a decision for Paper application.

At Chandigarh people who are filing paper based in past months have generally got a decision in roughly 2 weeks. (Source : Whatsapp groups/ friends who have applied). ONLINE decision either comes on the 3rd day from applying and if you are not so lucky to get on 3rd day, u dont know in how many more days u will get anything concrete from the Application center. Online application remains a gamble.

2. In paper based Visa one can put a letter of explanation. (I hope u must have included the same when u applied in past. This is very important for people who got rejected once.) How to include LOE in an ONLINE application is not known to most of us (even consultants).

After considering above points, i filed Paper application on 10th Nov. Hope this helps

I don't know all the answers as everything is done by my consultant but I tell u what I know.

I think the visa is processed at delhi office but it is stamped at chandigarh.
Embassy don't ask for original documents.
And yeah we need to get the documents attrsted by notory before scaning and uploading.

p.s- embassy will ask you if they need anything by email.

I'm waiting to get student loan sanction letter from bank. I will get on or before 20 November. Done Medical checkup 1 month ago, paid first semester fees ,got GIC certificate today. All other documents are ready.

I Will file visa application around 20-23 November. Some students posted here that they applied 1 or 2 month ago. I'm concerned about the timeline, will it be late for me ?

What is the deadline for student visa application ?

Also, i would suggest not to wait for Bank loan letter. I filed my Visa with GIC and Fees receipt only (though i had bank letter too, which i did not attach as it would have added more time for Visa processing). Bank letter is not mandatory. You can save few days, check the checklist on CIC website for University/Spp/general and go ahead if loan letter is not mandatory for your course.

My agent says that either My parents have income of 5 L PA or the sanction letter. The income is less than it, that's why he might have preferred the sanction letter.
