I got LMIA from Quebec. Can I apply for Express Entry ?

Hi all ,

I got interviewed by a Quebec employer some months back and they gave me job offer. They applied LMIA and CAQ and got it approved. Now I have sent passport for work permit stamping to the employer's lawyer. Once I get the passport stamped , I will move to Quebec and join the employer.

Now at this point of time, can I apply for express entry because I have got LMIA from the employer. Or should I need to go through some other process ?

Yes: you can apply through express entry.
No: But you cant use your Quebec LMIA for Express entry to gain 600points.

I dont know the period of your employment or work permit but start your PR application either Express entry or Quebec Immigration after you start your job in Quebec.
As the process is easy and sometimes fast within Canada.

Thank you.. which path you took to get CSQ ? After 1 year of employment in Quebec and applied CSQ as experienced class ? or did you give french B2 Level results ?

if you have already successfully applied for Quebec CSQ Aug 2016 intake tahn you can latter add you job offer to your application when you would have the rights to do so.

you have a chance to apply directly Mon project with job offer any time and they will process you PR.

i suggest you to go ahead with you visa and join your duly and than apply from inside Canada after one year in the experience class.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone help me to calculate points of Education and area of training ? I guess your area of training can be different from your Education, is it? please see my case below.

Education : MBA : ( Specialization HR) total 17 years
Area of Training Means : Specialization or work ? my specialization is Human Resources
Experience : Purchasing Manager NOC 0113 and 1225.

LMIA approved job offer will push you in CSQ priority queue. If you have one then please do not wait and reach out to MIDI asap.

I disagree with all statements above.

MIDI will not allow you to update critical information. So far they have allowed only changes to email id , phone no. and current address. LMIA approved job offer is going to be game changer for your application. If you have LMIA approved job offer then call MIDI and tell them that you are eligible for priority processing. If they give useful information then follow it , if they give something crap like "Wait for MIDI to send document request" then ignore that advise and send out a mail to MIDI with a cover letter and copy of LMIA requesting that your application be dealt with on priority basis.

Also , if you LMIA approved job offer then you do not need to wait for 1 year.

I also got interview and offer but my employer does not know about LMIA? Did you mentioned your employer that you have applied for express entry.
