but it bugs me that they requested a lots of documents to prove a simple fact that you have lived in the country for more than 1095 days. This will only take the government to install an entry/exist system to track PR's mobility.

I have been wondering all the time why such thing is not done to make it easier on everybody ???

I had a question though. Did the CJ at all look at the RQ documents submitted with the RQ or you had to take all these documents with you at the CJ hearing. I mean you must have submitted all this when you submitted the RQ, still they wanted to see you get all this in the CJ hearing?

The judge told me at the start of the hearing that she looked at my case and she mentioned in many parts of the hearing some of my documents that I submitted with my RQ as if she telling me that she seen the documents and I don't have to show it to her again.

Nevertheless, all the documents submitted with my RQ were copies. I brought all the originals with me and I even added more documents and updated others .. For example, I added the CBSA report. Another example, I added more phone bills to my file.

The JH letter tells you to bring all document you think that you need with you. They leave it to you to decide which one you need.

I recommend to assume that they have nothing and bring everything with you. don't tell the Judge I submitted that document and ask him or her to take it out of your file. Whenever they ask you question and you need to show document, Just get it out from your documents mention that you submitted it with the RQ and answer the question. This in my opinion shows that you are organized person that knows his documents and not laying.

Also did the CJ ask you about your work and other day to day activities.

Yes, they really needs to know details. I think it is really about the details only but also to see how confidence you are answering these questions.

Did she review your passport stamps in any detail and discuss any declared absences?

She looked at my passport fast. I think she saw the copies I gave with the the RQ because she looked really as if she knows what inside them.

I traveled twice. she asked me about them and I answered.

I would say she was so professional in the way she ask me questions. She did not makes me feel as if am guilty nor incent. In my opinion, that is the way a judge should be.

Of course the CJ may approve but CIC can appeal the CJs decision so watch your mail box for any correspondence from CIC....in the meantime all the very best in getting the records required...hopefully Canada Day will find you a citizen of this wonderful country!

At this stage, I think I did all my best in this issue. So, I hope it works out.

Did she focus in detail on you time before PR (gives an idea if the CJ has the KOO test in mind).

I lived in Canada for 14 years. As international student (1997-2003) then from 2007 till today. She asked about everything. I think she was convinced of the records I showed her such as having two university degrees, getting married, getting 2 kids, working, and so on ..

Thanks. Also were all the documents you need to take were for the 4 year period before the application. Did you take any documents like phone bills, cc bills kids school reports etc after the application was submitted (after 2010)?

honestly, i am very glad the new bill will eliminate the Citizen Judge process, it should be just BLACK/WHITE on whether 1 applicant is eligible to become a citizen or not.
i am sure u will get ur citizenship soon

Lol! Who said that the new bill will eliminate the judge process and that the process will become black/white ?

Read the bill...judges will be there, and nothing will be black or white, basically, not a lot is changing in terms of processing, and by the way, the new bill has nothing to do with the fees or with the procedures they use in order to process the applications, this is just a question of management and they can do it as they please as long as they respect the law.
