I GOT IP REFERENCE NUMBER FOR GIC. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR WIRE TRANSFER

Hi All,

I got IP reference number from Scotiabank.

I know I can do the wire transfer from banks other than scotia bank

1. What are the other banks where we can do the wire transfer?

2. Do we need to open account in those banks for the wire transfer?

3. How many day will it take to get the GIC after wire transfer.

4. Can I go to any KOTAK branch for wire trabsfer?

I dont know if its of any reference . but AXIS bank takes around 1-2 days to transfer funds.. so most probably Punjab national bank gonna take almost same amount of time to transfer funds.
P.s. You can always go to the nearest branch and ask them urself .. lol .

acutally i asked in PNB bank and what they said to me was shocking
they said " wire transfer"??? ye kya hai??
actually last date to apply is 1st dec for visa
and i am worrying about my gic account. does it will really take 9-10 days? cz i applied for gic account on 13th Nov and by tomorrow they'll give me acc no. and all that stuff. and if i wire transfer tomorrow how many days will it take to get the GIC certificate ?

I transfered funds on 3rd Nov n got gic certificate on 12th Nov...

now im getting worried whats gonna happen to me.
but on scotiabank site they say
Scotiabank will email confirmation of your Scotia Investment Account number (Investment Directions Confirmation) to you. You are responsible for printing a copy of this confirmation. Typically it will take 3 business days to fund the investment account from the date that your wire transfer is received at Scotiabank, a confirmation is issued 2 business days thereafter. You are responsible for printing a copy of this confirmation and letter for your records as secure emails are only available for 180 calendar days before automatic deletion.

P.S- Wire transfer ur money as soon as possible because I wire transferred my money on 7th November from SBI and still didn't received my certificate. They ask for 5-8 business days to issue a certificate. In short be quick

here u got two options ..
1) go to main branch of PNB . I am sure at least they will be aware of what's wire transfer .. lol ;D ;D
Or 2) u can do it thru axis bank .. which I am sure takes 1-2 business days . as I was living in china myself for last 8 years and my parents wire transferred in my account thru axis bank.. and remitted money was there the next day ..

About timeline for GIC certificate.. u can always contact Scotia bank about ur matter . inform them about the last date to apply for visa . also I am sure they are also aware of it and they might provide u GIC certificate within 2-3 days after receiving the amount .

thanks bro. i'll contact them today. cz i applied on 13th nov for GIC account but my aacount is not yet open. my application sir told me that by 19th probably it will open , but its not yet. i'll contact them today and will talk about it.
