I got an email that the status is updated 1 day after mep-what does it mean?

Hi

My status was updated on 25th July 2018 to MEP in the morning. But I got an email that my application has been updated the day after in the afternoon. So I checked the application but still the current status was "submitted". Could it be possibly moved onto IP2? Or still in IP1 which means that just email was late?

Email can be late. I my application was updated on Thursday, email about status update was sent in about 24 h.

I can tell you only what happened in my application:
On the same day I got both MEP and ‘Ee are reviewing your background check’.
So basically I received 1 email about status updated for 2 events.

I think you can apply your email to various scenarios, this can be even the ghost update. Do not put too many expectations.
