I get only 420 CRS and I don't see any way to increase it

I've used the tool here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp to calculate my crs, my stats are the following:

• 23 years old
• bachelor's degree
• 2-3 years of work experience
• maximum IELTS score

This puts me at 420 CRS which from my understanding it isn't enough, what am I supposed to do to increase it? I was under the impression that bachelor's paired with 1+ year of experience and IELTS would cut it, apparently not.

If I take an online test on canada.ca, however, it tells me that I might be eligible.

What are my chances realistically? What can I do to increase it?

You should be very proud. At your age, you have a very decent score. As long as you are achieving CLB9/CLB 10 in IELTS, your ways to increase your score is limited to:

1- Work experience.
2- Further Education.
3- Learning french

I will assume you are working now. So, I believe you score will be boosted every year till you hit your 3rd years of experience. In this case, I will recommend you either to purse higher education or study french. If you will go with former option, please make sure the institution to which you are applying is recognized.

There is no downside in getting into pool now. French language test can give you around 25 points so that is one option. You can also try for provisional nominations which will get you an ITA.

I will suggest you to create profile and start learning French. Meanwhile apply for PNP programs too.

Go ahead and file your express entry profile. There is nothing to lose. In fact, you never know as there may be some changes in the future.

Yes - that's what we mean. You'll need 1 to 1.5 years of intensive study to achieve a level of French proficiency that will make a difference in your score.

I'd say that a one year post-graduation course is a easier way to increase you score than learning french.

Also, using the tool I think that with a maximum IELTS score, baechelor degree and 3 years of work experience you'd get more points than that.

Could you double check it for me with the data above? I've used it noumerous times and I still get the same results, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I thought I would get higher as well since as far as I see my situation is ideal, young, highest work experience from the selection(3+ years), maximum IELTS and a bachelors and I get 440ish, which might not be enough. I don't see why someone in my situation wouldn't qualify tbh.

When I completed 3 years of experience, along with a bachelor's degree and maxed out IELTS I got 441 which was enough to get an invitation during the last few months of last year.

As Express Entry is becoming more popular and more people are entering the pool, the cutoff score will rise accordingly.
To get there you will need a post graduate diploma or French.

On the OP you said 420, I just did it here again and you get 441 points with this profile.

With a postgraduate diploma (two or more certificates) it would rise to 474.

Completing a post graduate diploma
Learning French

That's my point, I feel like even after having 3 years of experience, I still won't have enough points (441) to qualify for an ITA, it's just too close to the lower limit as of now. God knows what happens in 6 months.

Do you think I have a shot if I wait and try to apply at 441?

In the meantime you can start thinking whether doing a post graduate diploma or learning French is worth it for you.
