I filled a IMM5257 form along with my PGWP application. Do I need to file a visa application separately?

Hello,

I filled an IMM5257 form along with my PGWP application (found in the document checklist). Do I need to file a visa application separately? I assume this will also cover the visa application, however now that my PGWP was approved, I never received any requests for passport.

If in the end I need to file a separate request for the visa, I'd really get worried. Because under the processing time tracker it shows a harrowing 157 days.

Are you in Canada? A PGWP allows you to work in Canada but if you need to travel, you need a TRV.

While I was applying for the PGWP, there is an option for me to fill out the TRV form. I don't know whether it is valid (because it says outside Canada) and whether I still need to resubmit the TRV application.

If you filled out and submitted IMM5257 then you applied but have yet to get a response depending on processing times.
