yes, it's very difficult to obtain TRV but i will try to reaply TRV when sponsorship approve. i also heared this site saying that

2. Provide lots of evidence that your spouse will be returning to their country after a visit.

1. This won't help. If anything, it will make it even more difficult since a PR application is proof you are interested in remaining in Canada long term.
2. Yes - the person applying for the TRV should provide as much evidence as possible to show they will return to their home country after the visit (e.g. proof of employment, proof of property ownership, etc.)

That is what my partner and I did. Since I was refused a visit visa to Canada and she couldn't live her with me in our country we decided to tie the knot. We all know same sex marriage isn't legal in the Philippines, so we got married in New Zealand.

Initially we considered common law/conjugal but our immigration lawyer advised against it.

after you got married in new zealand did you apply PR in canada or somewhere else?
