dear friends..

here is a confusion for apprenticeship points:

3 yrs of cooking apprenticeship certificate given by any restaurant can get points? or the apprenticeship must be approved by any reulatory authority of country?
(education grade 12th=12 yrs and cooking apprenticeship 3 yrs, TOTAL: 12 + 3= 15 yrs)

Does it fits in this clause:
"Obtained a three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship (other than university) and completed at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies" = 22 points

thanks

Jasbir78,

To my knowledge, NO. However, you should get points for your apprenticeship.
It says a-3 year Diploma. (12+3=15 years of education) and an apprenticeship in order to claim for 22 points.

There are cliunary diplomas to be completed with few months of in-class education with few years of practical training. See if your apprenticeship fits in that category.

Yes, most of apprenticeship programs are regulated by private or government institutions.

Ice Cube.

this cooking apprenticeship is without any classroom sitting.

it was acquired by working in restaurant to learn cooking.
its not certified by any institution. pls advise if it can serve as a document of apprenticeship?

Hi,

Yes. you could. However, it does not serve as a- three year diploma. See if you could get this apprenticeship recognized by government or private institution. What is your NOC?

Let's wait for seniors comment
