Hi there!

I attach below an email from my lawyer

—————
I have received a request for an Immigration Medical Exam today with a deadline of 30-days to complete it. At the time of submitting the Study Permit application we submitted prof of an upfront Immigration Medical Exam. We have to options moving forward:

  • Comply: The first option is to comply with the instructions and undergo a second exam.

  • Re-Submit: The second option is to resubmit the previous Immigration Medical Exam and clarify to the officer that you already completed the exam.

Speaking from experience I can say that statistically the most likely explanation for the second request is that first Immigration Medical Exam was simply not noticed – which means that resubmission will likely not cause any issues. However, I am also mindful that you are very conscience of the processing times at play, resubmitting and clarifying will likely be the slower approach here, meanwhile a promptly submitted new medical exam will likely keep the application moving faster.
—————

This is soo frustrating. I had to pay 350$ USD for the upfront medical exam and waited from 8Am to 5Pm to get it done.

How do you think I should proceed now?!

should I resubmit it?

If you have a copy of it then submit it via web form, you can also ask the Dr who did the exam to re-submit it if you don't have a copy. Getting a new one isn't going to be faster. The 30 days is for you to send it, once you have sent it then it's up to them to review it but not in the 30 days you were told to do it in.

Thanks for your reply!
It is quite frustrating tbh. The fact I did upfront exam to avoid this type of delay is disappointing.
I will upload my copy again through the webform to the Visa center directly and through cic website.

Hopefully it does not take longer than it should be
