Hello,

I became a citizen a few months back.
Do I need to inform OHIP about that? My card doesn't expire until a few years from now.

If yes, is the process online or do I need to go to Service Ontario?

Yes you should update immigration status by going to Service Ontario. You will need a proof of citizenship when you go. I recently did this too.

thanks. Are there any other areas where I need to update my citizenship status?

You forgot Elections Canada.

Yes. Some people automatically get registered with them whereas some (like me) have to manually register. OP can check on their site if he/she is registered and if not, they can register on their site.

1. Not required. PRs and Citizens have the same coverage.

I called service Ontario to confirm and they said that I need to go to service Ontario location and show my citizenship proof to update the status on health card
