I am the principle application - my spouce and children are canadia Citizens. They asked the following:

Submit your original passport and the original passport(s) of your accompanying spouse and dependent children to the Visa Application Centre (VAC) in London. The passports must meet the Passport Specifications as detailed below.

Can someone please define "Accompanying" ? does this mean if they have been included within the applicaiton as an applicant....why is this so confusing......

Are you bringing you kids with you or are they already in Canada?

They only mean for spouse/children included in the application.

Because your spouse and children are Canadian they are only asking for your passport.

You said in previous posts that you are from the UK. If so, you are visa-exempt and CIC should not be requesting your actual passport.
