I am restoring my status as a visitor and having some doubts while filling the 5708E FORM...please help

1) What i have to fill in "detail of visit to canada"....

--purpose of my visit: tourism, returning worker or others
--indicate how long you will stay: what date i will enter as m already in canada on restoration status
--how much fund I have to show
--what kind of proof I have to show for my funds paystab and bank statement is ok
--Name address and relationship of any person/institution I will visit: what will i enter in this

--indicate how long you will stay: what date i will enter as m already in canada on restoration status -- when I did this before I was a student so I put the date my program was going to end.
--how much fund I have to show -- I used to write what was in my bank at the moment
--what kind of proof I have to show for my funds paystab and bank statement is ok -- I included bank statements, if you're working include, T4's, pay stubs
--Name address and relationship of any person/institution I will visit: what will i enter in this -- I used to put N/A

Thanks for reply but right now m out of status so that's why I cant even work. So. I cant put work or study...

I would write work if you have been working before your status expired. if you're applying online, there's a part where they allow you to describe what happened for you to be out of status. so in that section you can mention that you intend to continue work once your'e granted your status back.

He applying as a visitor. No way he can mention "work" as purpose of the visit. The application will be immediately rejected as he can't work as visitor.
R_CHAUDHARY, honestly, I don't know what reason you can mention as purpose for a visit. Do you have any reason to stay in Canada (except the one that you want to be here - which is the main reason for all of as, but not for CIC, unfortunately).

it is asking the purpose of original visit - so putting "work" should be good if you entered canada first time for work purpose.

Only for "original visit", but not for "reason why you want to extend your stay".

For question on reason of extending stay, "Other" can be selected and in remarks, put notes as mentioned by alyahmed!

Yes, u r right I cant mention work as I am applying for visitor visa. Actually, I am waiting to get my profile selected for express entry that's why I need more time. My employer is also ready for my lmia so want to get more time..

Do you have any relatives, gf, or close friends there? You can mention the purpose to visit them, as well as waiting PR application. I wouldnt recommend to mention any word of work or study as a purpose for visitor visa. If you are unlucky, you might mislead the VOs, and he/she will think you will be intentionally working/studying regardless of the status.

Yes, u r right I cant mention work as I am applying for visitor visa. Actually, I am waiting to get my profile selected for express entry that's why I need more time. My employer is also ready for my lmia so want to get more time..

what's your exact situation in terms of employment ? have you lost job (laid off) or not working because of lost immigration status ?

if you are not laid off, (as you mentioned that your employer is ready to go for LMIA for express entry means I guess you have job but can't work legally until you get your status back), so you can select "Returning worker" on IMM5708E for a question on reason to extend stay, or just put Other and write some notes explaining why you want to restore status.

How did you end up filling the form, I need to get it done
