I am confused too.. i have filled all the documents, and since if a spouse is sponsored , he/she must undergo medical assessment before submiting the forms.. i took the appointment which is due in few days, they ask me to bring the acknowledgement letter from canadian high commisiion.. pls tell me how can i get an email of this wen i haven't even submitted my forms???

Pls reply
Same answer as given to the OP: You do NOT need a letter or form previously filled to take your medical for Family Class examinations, unless:

1- The visa Office handling your file follows a different procedure for medical examinations. You may get more help if you specify which VO you're going through.
2- Your application is under a category different than Family Class (outland), notice that Family class in Canada may be handled differently.
3- Your previous medical examination has expired and the VO has requested a new exam, in which case the VO should have provided a form for you to bring to the panel physician.

Check your specific case requirements and post here if you need additional help.

I am planning to book for my medical at the same place - would you advise against it? They sounded as though they knew what they were talking about on the phone!
Do you want my HONEST opinion?

Actually, I think the doctor that I saw was more interested in ordering his evening meal from a takeaway on his phone than concentrating on me. It might just be an isolated incident... My wife, the sponsor, was a little less than impressed. (That's British for "spitting nails"!!).

I now have the corrected form and it had to be counter signed by another doctor as the one I originally saw was not going to be available for another two weeks!! It's with my application on its way to CPC-M.

zardoz, happy to read that your medical form situation got straightened out, but that doesn't speak well for the medical examiner's efficiency.

Anyways, for the other poster who is considering using that examiner's services, he'll be well advised to look for an alternate physician if one exists in the area and compare. Good luck.

We ended up going to the Knightsbridge Clinic, and they were perfect. Also had no waiting time, and were cheaper than most of the other options (£285 I believe).

Come to think of it - may I advise people not to have a berocca prior to their medical exam. My urine sample could have glowed in the dark... God I hope Canada lets me in, despite my high-vis pee...

Vitamin-B supplement tablets are also a bad idea!
